I'm rather ashamed of myself as I haven't really applied much of what I learned since I finished which was some time ago. I kind of drifted away from the MA towards the end, as what I really wanted to do didn't really fit the general idea and atmosphere, I felt.

But I wouldn't have missed it for anything, and now that I'm in a new phase of life, the spark seems to be re-igniting. Problem is - I have forgotten much of the tech stuff I learned, and can't afford to pay anyone to do it for me. A fantasy colleague is what I need, one who could get what I'm trying to do, and help me make it real without changing it along the way (and to complete the fantasy, one with a private income and complete dedication to my cause!)

Hi Jo
I find the lynda.com tutorials really helpful. You have to pay for them - and there are a lot of free tutorials out there, many very good ones too - but I find it's money well-spent because I've learned things quicker through lynda.com videos. It's partly simply the convenience of having them all in one place. For free tutorials, try w3schools.com
