Cool :-) Remixing reality sounds a much more succinct way of phrasing it too! Know what you mean about chock-a-block schedules... although I theoretically have a nice relaxing week off this week (with a website to finish building, the bus station t…

I'd be interested in this, Kirsty, but at the moment my schedule is just chock-a-block. For one thing it sounds like it could be an interesting way to extend the remix - aka R3/\/\1X\/\/0RX www.remixworx.net - into the real world - remixing reality!…

I had found people complaining about the buses in groups on Facebook and answered them (which surprisingly made them all go very quiet!). When I launched the bus station Twitter feed and blog, I promoted these to those groups and got a small number…

Now, I am probably going to explain this really badly, but bear with me and shout if I am too vague.... I was at a techy/geeky meet up thing last week called bathcamp, where we heard a speaker talking about arduino. Now, I am not an electronics pe…

Can I just say - THANK YOU CHRISTINE, the ning looks much better now! A question - which is probably really obvious - but can any of us add photos to loop that plays on our home page? If so, is there a size you found worked well? Could be good to d…

Hi Jo Its funny... I just finished writing a blog post about what I have been doing in my digital life recently! Unfortunately it hasn't been exactly creative (hopefully I will get time to do some creative work again soon... she says wistfully) but…

Happy New Year Kirsty. Have you been following the stories about virtual holidays that an ME sufferer has designed for people who for what ever reason cant travel. She apparently got lottery funding. I thought of you when I listened to the story. Good luck in 2009 . all good wishes

Yes, yes, would love to read your crit commentary. I will attach mine too, if anyone is interested to read. I am particularly eager to read yours and Christines because you guys always seems so organised to me. I feel that I swerve all over the place before I get to my destination, so I want to see if I can glean how to approach a project in a more methodical fashion. But, I do feel it would be really interesting to read everyones crit comms and look at their work. So, is there a space where I can make some grand announcement about this? Also, I think Mags was asking to see some crit comms too for the dissertation, so it will hopefully help her.
I cannot attach the file here, let me see if I can find a space elsewhere for it in Ning.

Hi Kirsty, I was very impressed by your dissertation project too. Actually, I would be very interested to read your critical commentary also. I think much can be gleaned from sharing the critical commentaries; something I have already mentioned to Sue.

Not sure what I am up to yet. My present job is quite demanding and staff cuts are going to make it increasingly so, so not sure yet if I would be able to balance a PhD with it. I am going to take a year to mull over the PhD anyway to get a clear idea of what I would focus on if I do pursue it. What about you? What ideas are you kicking around? I find myself pulled between what would be a research-based PhD and what would be a practice-based PhD. Both appeal very much. I enjoy research very much, but a practice-based PhD is tempting too.
