I just made $1045 this week working from home for google. I cant believe how easy this is. Im recommending this to everyone, check out this guys google blog makemoneywith-google.com
All the best with the new job, Katharine. I hope it goes well for you and that your reservations do not prove to be justified. I started a new (old) job in May. I returned to The Japan Times and now work as head of the International News Desk. I first worked at the JT 20 years ago, and things have gone somewhat downhill since then, what with the bubble bursting here and newspapers now bleeding money. Not sure if the paper will stay afloat, but before it sinks I hope that I can move over to the digital media section. They are in dire need of developing their platforms but are dragging their heels, scratching their heads and wondering how they will ever monetize it. Same story everywhere. I have just come back from New York, where I met the digital team at the NY Post, and they are having a tough time. Murdoch has just made some hefty cuts.
Anyway, I am happy to have passed the MA. Am mulling over doing a PhD, and ultimately hope that at some point I can make a career move into education here. Would love to teach new media/journalism/writing at one of the universities here -- ideally in Kyoto so that I can live out my Heian-period fantacies. I better start on some serious visualizations so that I can bring this dream into the universe.
Great news about the job. Good to hear the remix is being visited/discussed. Chris has been doing some wonderful remixes lately. It's really inspired me to get my remix ass into gear again. I'm literally in the middle of one right now... so I'll get back to it!
...and whenever you want to join in, you know you're welcome!
cheers
Christine

hey Catherine! When were you here? This year Blondie played at the festival and it was so good I cried....
